GOALS:

So what is empathy fatigue anyway? Commonly known as compassion fatigue, this 2-hour training aims to learn how to recognize and combat the fatigue that can oftentimes accompany working in a helping profession. Do you find yourself or others saying “I feel too spread thin," or "I don’t have anymore to give"? In our current world, it seems that the overwhelming answer for many of us is “YES.” In this training, we will identify warning signs of empathy fatigue and learn strategies of self-care and self-compassion to integrate into your daily practice as well as to help clients who experience empathy fatigue.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Learn what empathy fatigue is and how to recognize it.

2. Learn components of compassion, empathy, and resiliency.

3. Learn and practice techniques to alleviate empathy fatigue.
